Kenan was the son of Enos, son of Seth and his name Kenan (also spelled Cainan) means possession. The Hebrew word is pronounced Qeynan and has Strong's Number 07018.
Kenan was born when his father Enos was ninety years old and he had several brothers and sisters. When he had become 70 years old he got his first son, Mahalalel, and after that he got more children, both sons and daughters. Kenan's father Enos died at the age of 905 when Kenan was 815 years old and Kenan himself lived a total of 910 years.
